The Inter-regional Festival of Creativity of Indigenous Small-numbered People of the North, Siberia and Russian Far East "The Golden Springs"

11 - 18 august, 2014, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky


"The Golden Springs" represents the large-scale folk festivals that stay in memory as vibrant celebrations of folk art. They are the hallmark of Kamchatka.

Beautiful, emotional and sublime art of northern people is one of the main adornments of always alluring and extraordinary Kamchatka.

The festival participants have included Yakut, Evenk, Koryak, Chukchi, Itelmen, Aleut and Evensk lovers and connoisseurs of aboriginal culture.

Within the frames of the northern Biennale once in two years theatrical concerts in the capital of the region, neighbouring cities and in rural areas take place; master classes in applied arts and national choreography are organized as well as competitions of storytellers, performers of kin melodies, creative laboratories for preservation of objects of intangible cultural heritage, presentations of publications, operation of "The City of masters".

In 2014 "The Golden Springs" again will welcome artists - professionals and amateurs - from all over Kamchatka peninsula, the regions of Far East and Siberia. The capital of Kamchatka peninsula will hospitably open its doors to everybody.
